Originally from the Chicagoland area, Jim has a diverse background and experience including marketing and public relations and he is fluent in French. In addition to growing up in the Midwest, he has lived in the heat of the desert plains of Utah as well as in the cold hills of northern Quebec. Jim understands the complexities involved in living and working in different cultures and communities. He is involved in his community. Over the past 2 decades he has coached hundreds of boys in baseball, football and wrestling, instilling in his players the critical life lessons that can be learned from winning and losing, as well as being on a team and trusting in your teammates. In his professional realm, he has proven that communication, enthusiasm and unique marketing form a winning trifecta in the world of real estate. Jim attended Brigham Young University as well as Weber State University, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree. He is a graduate of the Stringham School of Real Estate. Jim currently holds a real estate license in Utah, is a member of the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors and he leads a team of agents (Platinum Realty Group) working out of the Equity Real Estate Select brokerage. He has designations from the National Association of Realtors as a Military Relocation Professional, (MRP) a Seller Representative Specialist, (SRS) and a Real Estate Negotiation Expert. (RENE) He has been designated by Zillow as "Best of Zillow," a status earned by the top 10% of Zillow Premier Agents - who out perform all other agents in 5 different metrics. He has also been recognized by the NWAOR (Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors) as a Top 250 Producer for 2022 & 2023. He serves on the board for Northern Utah Habitat for Humanity. Jim has been on all sides of real estate transactions and he understands the many phases of the sales process, including the crucial importance of building relationships of trust, unique marketing and the ability to effectively negotiate.
